I could not put this book down! I started it last night and finished it this morning. What a page turner it was!
First, I loved Kayla and how much she gives back to the community and that the food bank was discussed. I’ve read many books and have never seen that mentioned before. It was nice because the topic isn’t discussed much. I’ve used food banks in the past and I’ve worked with them. She’s a great FMC and so passionate and stands up for what she believes in and those around her.
With Nate being a football player, I enjoyed reading about him and how he was serious so fast about Kayla. Sport players often at times are known for the cliché things like partying, girls and doing whatever they want. Nate was more of a regular guy and I enjoyed watching how Kayla added more to his life.
Watching them support and stand up for each other during the book was powerful. The bonus epilogue was my favorite and I can’t wait to read the next part of Tanner and Vanessa's story. I know that’s going to be fun with Vanessa’s sass!
